NEW YORK - Majel Barrett Roddenberry, the widow of "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry, has died. She was 76. Roddenberry, an actress who appeared in numerous "Star Trek" TV shows and movies, died Thursday of leukemia at her home in Bel-Air, Calif., her representative said.
Her romance with Roddenberry earned her the title "The First Lady of Star Trek." A fixture in the "Star Trek" franchise, her roles included Nurse Christine Chapel in the original "Star Trek," Lwaxana Troi in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and the voice of the USS Enterprise computer in almost every spin-off of the 1966 cult series. She recently reprised the voice role in the upcoming "Star Trek" film directed by J.J. Abrams.

Did a search, found nothing. Lwaxana was a fairly annoying character, but effective as someone sympathetic to Odo on DS9. She'll definitely be missed as the voice of the Federation's computer systems.

I wonder if Spock will attend the funeral for the sake of old times and lost love.

She also was the nurse assistant to Dr McCoy in the 60s series, who had a little crush on Spock.

I had no clue she was Lwaxana Troi. I remember her as Nurse Chapel.
Gene Roddenberry came to campus when I was in college, spoke, showed us some outtakes and the original pilot. Capt Kirk was sticking his finger in her belly button in one of the outtakes.

Very sad.
She played Deanna Troi’s mom. I used to dream of Deanna Troi....
RIP, Mrs. Roddenberry.

ALSO she was the voice of the Enterprise computer on Next Generation, Voyager, and I think all of the newer series. My favorite line of hers was in Voyager. The computers were malfunctioning, and Captain Janeway ordered coffee from a replicator, and it said “Get it yourself!”. (Yes I have no life.)

Enjoyed her character Lwaxana Troi very much. Watching Jean Luc-Picard do the two-step around her was fascinating.
