By today's standards, let alone what was in place in 1961, it would be difficult for 0bama to claim he is a natural born citizen. I asked my cousin about this as she is living in France. She is American born and raised. Her husband is Estonian. They met at university in the US and married. He is some type attorney I think in Human RRights or something like that..and his speciality has them in France. They have 3 small kids. I asked my cousin about the citizenship thing for her kids seeing as how they were all born in France. My cousin by virtue of her husband's type work are classified as “diplomatic”.
As to her kids, now remember she is American, carry dual citizenship...Estonian and American and carry both passports. They are not French citizens just because they were born there. This is complicated but this is how it has to work for her kids. If the kids want to have French citizenship added to their collection, they have to reach the age of I think 18 and then petition for it after living there for 5 consecutive years. As for the American citizenship, for them to pass this on to their kids one day, they will need to prove that they have lived 4 or 5 years in the USA before the age of 18( or maybe 21 she was not sure on that) and the years need not be cumulative, so ticket stubs and canceled passports of the entry serve as 3 or 4 weeks here and there and count towards the 4 years. Often times, you can do a semester at school or something like that to help if you don't have the years built up.
If the kids marry an American then their kids will have American citizenship from that, BUT if they marry French person or any other, and still want to pass the US Citizenship along to their children then they need to meet the 4 year requirement. Pretty complicated she says.
So from what we know of 0bama, he was born in 1961 in _______ to an American woman and a Kenyan father who was a British citizen. But he did not live in the US until age____ and my bet is he had at least 2 passports..perhaps one American, and one Indonesian (by virtue of his adopted status) and perhaps even one that is Kenyan. So this issue is really important to have decided before 1-20-09 like it or not, 0bama..and if he had nothing to hide it would be so simple as so many have pointed out.But instead he spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to seal his records...a lot of records. What a sham.

Interesting, thanks for posting that. Citizenship - what to speak of natural born citizenship - is not that simple.
