Just add more or less chili powder to taste. This make a mild sauce. Try your favorite spicey stuff. Also, it’s important to mince the onion so it gives up the sugar and flavor when simmering the suace.
BBQ Sauce
Mix the following ingredients in a small saucepan (makes about one pint):
6 oz. ketchup
2 oz. chili sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
3 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 small onion, minced
1/4 cup brown sugar
Simmer for about 20–30 minutes.
