"God chose to show himself to us in a complete human life, telling us that every stage in human existence, from conception to maturity and even death, was in principle capable of telling us something about God," reads the 2008 Christmas message. Amen!

Very glad to read this.
This is my most important issue and TEC in U.S. has been horrible on it.

>> “society must foster a loving and supportive environment for the weakest and most vulnerable of the human race.”
Why this simple fact resonates better when trumpeted from a senior member is frustrating — it should be common sense shared and practiced by everyone.

Why this simple fact resonates better when trumpeted from a senior member is frustrating it should be common sense shared and practiced by everyone. Unfortunately, across the board, far too many Christian clergymen do not speak to the sanctity of human life.

Three cheers for His Grace!
On this point, at least, he is right. I hope those who listen to him when he is wrong will at least listen to him now . . . .

I hope those who listen to him when he is wrong will at least listen to him now . . . . Unfortunately, the moral relativism/secular humanist crowd tends to only hear things that they agree with.

This is why we cannot regard unborn children as less than members of the human family, why those with disabilities or deprivations have no less claim upon us than anyone else Makes me very glad to have Communed this morning in a TEC congregation where prayers were offered for the Archbishop of Canterbury...unaware of this profound statement as I was at that time.
