Seven Republican senators signed a letter sent to President Bush on Tuesday, urging him not to use Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) funds in a bailout of U.S. automakers.
The senators wrote that absent restructuring, they "do not believe any amount of money will succeed in saving these companies."
The letter was sent by Senators Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama), John Ensign (R-Nevada), Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) and Saxby Chambliss (R-Georgia).

Where the hell are my Senators?!! Wicker and Cochran (MS)? It really ticks me off when you elect people to do their freaking job and they sit on their hands.
Who lives in the South and doesn’t see their Republican Senators on this list? Who would like to join me in making a “friendly” letter to them tomorrow?
Would love to have some company?! Time to for everyone that cares to get involved.
These Senators deserve a letter, email, or phone call of thanks from each of us.

Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama),
John Ensign (R-Nevada),
Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma),
John Cornyn (R-Texas),

We sure gave ‘em hell for the Bailout, Amnesty, and other crappola bills, and they got the message on this one.
‘specially Saxby, we tore him a new one down here. LOL
Thanks, fellas.
I agree. We should thank them for having the courage to stand against a tide of Congressional pigs and pacifists.
Thank God for some men who will stand up for America!!!
Do the opposite of what pat the nazi says... and all will be fine.
LLS
Patriots every one!
I fully expect Bush to stab us in the back (yet again).
Worst President Ever.
Jeff Sessions is one of my favorite patriots!!
...and yes, I will call each one and thank him today!
Absolutely right. I not only wrote my reelected (in a land slide) Senator Saxby Chambliss but I also wrote my other silent senator Johnny Isakson. These representatives need to step up much more and make there point of view echo through the halls of congress. This sitting on the sidelines needs to stop. There are way to many ways for our representatives to communicate with Us The People!
Letters Sent:
Senator Johnny Isakson Where were you? Your counterpart needs your support and we the people want to see your name on our side of this issue and the ones that are coming.
Letter to Senator Saxby Chambliss
I am happy to learn you have sent a letter to the White House along with six other Senators. I understand the letter stressed the automakers need to do the restructuring first before any possible funds were used. I am still against the funding of the automakers but most definitely support you on this. The automakers need to perform many changes such as those with the unions on pay and benefits and also upper management pay based on performance at the very least.
My deeper questions for you are where is the other GA Senator (Johnny Isakson) and why was he not involved with this? (Oh yes he will also receive an Email.) The second part why only seven senators total on this letter? This scares me because this look to much like back door deals in that this group makes noise while that group pushes something through. Use your personality and influence to move others in the senate to your point of view after all this is suppose to be one of the factors of electing someone to represent us (The People).
FWIW, I about wrecked my truck today when I heard Pandsey in a news sound bite say essentially what these Patriots wrote in their letter.
Pandsey is like a broken clock...
