Actually, you're thinking of Carolyn McCarthy, the former Congresswoman from Long Island. Carolyn Maloney is a "real" member of Congress...apologies to all - somehow for me once I've seen one lib female I've seen 'em all - well, with the exception of Nancy Pelosi, of course.....

Well, I see that you have found a way to somehow translate this into racial terms.

Do you know what sarcasm is? Liberals use racial politics incessantly to achieve their goals. Are you aware that if an NFL coaching vacancy occurs the teams are now REQUIRED to interview blacks. The Rooney rule. I was positing where is the Rooney rule for the US Senate? My guess is it only is invoked if a white Senator of the GOP type leaves office, then its an issue.

Right . . . I stand corrected. For some reason I thought she retired from Congress a few years back after serving 3-4 terms.

At any rate, she's been the most inconsequential member of Congress for some time . . . and that's saying a lot about Congress.

Come on Governor, hold a lottery to choose the next Senator. It would raise billions.

Nowadays harping on this aspect just seem tired, silly and dated.

I agree, I am tired of it too, and that was why I was being sarcastic in making my point. Have a great day.
