That is precisely why the original Chrysler bailout was a a bad idea. It set a terrible precedent. Once you do it for one, everyone else is going to demand you do it for them as well. We should have nipped this thing in the bud way back in 77.

Saving American jobs is bad for whom? I think that's a good use of taxpayers' money. Do we want to save foreign companies, that's what we would be doing by shuttering Detroit.

The Chrysler bailout is a joke. They are by far the most auto company in America. They are now owned by a private company, who is now begging other bankrupt companies to buy them.

It’s another example of why these companies need to fix their business model before the beg for taxpayer money.
