depends. sometimes it was just crim possession of a weapon (CPW). sometimes it was also menacing or felony assault depending on the crime itself.
Perhaps you will understand that “CPW” in NY is somewhat different than in VA.
In fact, my retirement plan is to get a law degree and spend every penny I have sueing NY over their unconstitutional gun laws.
