He also suggests a renewed commitment to core Republican principles such as a limited scope of government.Bush...suggesting a return to limited government...hahahahaha.
No more Bushes! Ever! I don't care how conservative they are; a pox on the house of Bush for what both Georges have done to the United States.

I’m from Florida, and Jeb was solid. He should have been the second Bush president, but that will never happen now.

Well the best I can say for Jeb is that he is definitely a heck of a lot better than Mel Martinez.
Its hard to find anyone who is worse than Martinez.

I’m in Florida. Jeb is a “good guy.” But NO BUSH will ever get my vote again. They had their chance and that ship has sailed my FReeper FRiends.

All conservatives and Republicans should take a long, hard look at what condition Bush 41 and 43 left the party in as they departed the White House.
Before her fall, Peggy Noonan called the Bushes “wastrels”, people who took the political power and influence earned by others, then they frittered it away, ignoring what had brought the Republican their power in the first place.
She was right, and we need no more Bushes in high office.
But I bet Colin Powell and John McCain would endorse Jeb.

Is GWB trying to ruin his brother’s chances? He should come out and say that Jeb is “Horrible, an absolute snake, someone Dick Cheney and I would never have allowed anywhere near power in our Administration.” ;)

“
Looking back at the heated immigration debate of 2006, Bush said Republicans came off as anti-Latino. “ Nope.
Republicans came off as strongly pro enforcement of our immigration laws, and against amnesty for criminals that break our laws. That's what Republicanism is about, not amnesty for law breakers.

I think the party would benefit a lot by having Jeb Bush in the U.S. Senate,
I think Florida would benefit a lot. I think the country would benefit a lot. And I think the Republican Party would benefit a lot.”
Wow, this President Bush guy sure is eloquent.....

“To rebuild the GOP brand, the former governor has said the party needs to embrace reform and broaden the partys outreach, especially to Hispanics.”
Lots of people blathering about reaching out to Hispanics, but they seldom get specific. Just what does that mean other than amnesty for illegals, and more and more lax rules that will allow more and more Hispanics into the US?
When will these nuts learn that they are facilitating the entry of millions of natural Democrat party constituents into the US. Just because the Bushes and Rove had a few Hispanic friends in Texas and Florida doesn’t mean that all Hispanics have fallen in love with the Republican party.
