He is a really good man.

That honor was deserved.

Sinise is one of my heroes. I was sorry I wasn’t able to see the Lt. Dan Band perform towards the end of the Oshkosh airshow week.

I loved her portrayal of Mattingly: “If they don’t get any sleep, neither do I.”

And bumps for Zo!

He seems like a good, decent and principled man.

The troops seem to think the world of him, from what I hear. That says volumes to me.

Always did like Gary. Now I have another reason.

And he plays a pretty mean axe.

Yup, the shoe-thrower also trumped alot of the rat politics in Chicago.

The drive-bys have no soul.

The Presidential Citizens Medal is well deserved by Gary Sinise for his support of our military and the Operation Iraqi Children program.

Thank you Mr. Sinise.

Not many people in this world I would feel honored to meet … Gary Sinise is one of my top three, the other two are, unfortunitly, dead. (President Reagan, and Charlton Heston would be the other two)

“I have seen Iraqi kids climbing on our soldiers and hugging them and kissing them,” Mr. Sinise said. “I have seen their smiling faces and their attempts to say ‘I love you’ in broken English. The folks I saw had hope in their eyes and gratitude in their hearts for what was done for them.”

THEY are the future of Iraq, NOT the shoe thrower “journalist” or al Qaeda

He won the Catholics In Media Award (CIMA) Humanitarian Award in 2005 for his work in Iraq. During his speech, this very humble man spoke about how his wife was the catalyst behind everything he does. He thanked her for everything. He is the man he is because of her. Then he thanked his partner in the relief efforts and said that it was because of her that they were so successful. What a man!

Gary is a huge Pat Metheny fan, so he obviously has great taste in music.

You know, we can all be a “Lt Dan” for a young (or not so young) vet.

This is a good time of year to start as well.

We saw the Lt.Dan band in 2005, the year my son went to the USNA. The Lt.Dan Band was giving a benefit concert. They were passable but the point is that they were doing the concert for the Military. Gary Sinise is a hero in my book if for nothing else but standing up against the tidal wave of Liberalism in Hollywood. I would love to see him go back to Chicago and run for the 0bama Senate seat. Go Lt.Dan!
