Climate Change: The Associated Press warns that the new administration won't have much time to save the planet from a global warming apocalypse. Never mind that the "ticking time bomb" is a dud.
This is not a local phenomenon. Hong Kong had the second-longest cold spell since 1885. Cold in northern Vietnam destroyed 40% of the rice crop and killed 33,000 head of livestock. The British Parliament debated climate change as London experienced the first October snow since 1934.
Presumably this has all been reported by the Associated Press. But according to a weekend AP report, this is all an illusion and "2008 is on a pace to be a slightly cooler year in a steadily rising temperature trend line." Rather than being "evidence of some kind of cooling trend, it actually illustrates how fast the world is warming." Oh.
The report, which includes no comments from any skeptic, says global warming "is a ticking time-bomb that President-elect Obama can't avoid." It warns "warming is accelerating. Time is running out, and Obama knows it." Especially if he relies on AP wire reports.

Let’s see....Jan 20th is the inauguration....middle of winter in DC.....probably will be about 0 degrees that day....Algore will be in town, won’t he?
The Day After (Inauguration)...the USA becomes the 58th member of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference?
Hurry Please!
I’m hoping that January 20th in Washington, DC, will the coldest day in 500 years! Of course, if that happens, the global warming nutcases will still insist that the frigid temperatures are a component of global warming.
The Ass. Press is loaded with reporters and journalists who all majored in “global warming” while in journalism school and are therefore, all climate “experts.” Tick Tick Tick.
I see no way to stop the rats from wrecking the country using “climate change” as the pretext for basically seizing control of all energy usage and therefore of anything that uses or relies on energy. There are too many RINOs in the senate who, led by the GOP’s last presidential nominee, are just as eager as the rats to wage war against the people in the name of “saving the planet” so the filibuster simply won’t be used. And that’s all the GOP has when you get right down to it.
Thanks! It’s been that for a while — they just finally took the mask off.

January 21, 2009, the day over half of the Obama administration makes bail.
As shown in many of your posts, IBD is the most rational and objective newspaper these days.
No new sunspots again today....looks like a new mini-ice age coming.
Make of this what you will, but the last time San Jose recorded a mid-December cold snap any more bone-chilling than the one expected this weekend, humanity ended its exploration of the moon and never returned. The National Weather Service says today's temperature will reach no more than 51, then keep dropping all weekend, threatening the record of 47 degrees for the coldest high temperature for any Dec. 13. That record was set in 1972, the day Apollo 17 blasted off from the lunar surface ending America's final moon mission.
Aha! No sunspots AND the fact that we haven't returned to the moon since '72. I just knew the combination would cause deadly cold.
Laugh all you want, but we're freezing our butts off here in NorCal.
Houston's pretty darn chilly right now, too. We might even get sleet in the wee hours.
Darn global warming.
