Really? I see no evidence she was forced to take down the decoration. In fact, it appears that everybody else is defending her.

So let me get this straight: you're expecting me to actually READ the articles? Whew, you're tough, man, tough.

But my point was a broad one: the slope of pre-emptive non-offensiveness is slippery indeed. It's best kept off of.

Exactly. It seems like it was only one rogue city employee who was upset by her light display. The city government is supporting the woman with the light display. There are many stories of political correctness gone wild. This is not one of them.

Not only that, but the incident seems to have exposed the government grinch who called to tell her they were offensive, as someone who acted unilaterally and not based on neighbor complaints.

Maybe he'll get reprimanded. Of course he'll never get fired...he's a government employee.
