That is wonderful! Congrats to your son on his decision. I always smile when I think of the old Cheers tv show - Carla felt she could do anything and get away with it because her son was entering the Priesthood. It made for a very funny skit on the show.

LOL, I use that one every once in a while, in jest of course! On a serious side, the Christmas Carol,” Mary did you know” always makes me cry-while I am not raising Christ, mothers of priests do have a special kinship with her for having “in persona Christi” in their lives. It is a great gift and I am honored that God has so richly blessed me with the burden of being a small part in raising a servant of God.

Too many people discourage that calling in todays world, and we need them so desperately. As our vocations director said- God still calls as many as he needs, too many are saying no.
