The Constitution is no longer in line with our expectations regarding the role of the people in selecting the president. Yet several previous attempts to eliminate the Electoral College through a constitutional amendment have failed, scuttled by the difficulty of the process itself and the tyranny of small-state logic.

The demise of the U.S. Constitution is the leftist-globalist wet dream.

Well if the electoral college is non-democractic, so is any legislative body that does not represent people on a per capita basis. Trash the Senate! And now that I'm thinking of it, what about the losing percentages of voters in any election? Trash the House of Representatives! Oh, I guess the POTUS must be shut down, too. And of course, the same logic goes for State government.

The only alternative is direct citizen votes on any and all governing matters, aka MOB RULE, aka anarchy. /s
