Fortunately, he’s not “in control here.”

To: ConservativeMind
If you read the whole interview he sounds bitter towards the Reagans.

(Buckle up - with Obama at the controls it's gonna be a bumpy ride. God help us.)
To: Publius804
optimistic? sure. he might not make it to inauguration.
To: Publius804
As a naive youngster, I voted for him in the 1988 primary.

"Constitutionally, gentlemen, you have Publius804, the seconf poster, Conservative mind and sam_paine in that order, and should the Publius804 decide he wants to transfer the thread to Conservativemind, he will do so.
He has not done that.
As of now, I am in control here, on this thread." -- sam_paine, 12/14/2008

Indeed. Haig was a nutcase 30 years ago and he apparently has not recovered any of his marbles since then. Taking him seriously is an indicator that one has impaired judgment himself.
To: Publius804
Now Haig can return to the obscurity he so richly deserves. What a maroon.
To: Publius804
The old general is a connected New World Order man. Of course he will say this.

A
book I read on Watergate came to the conclusion Haig was “deep throat”. The real deep throat
supposedly confessed and died since.

That statement will haunt him as long as he lives.

As a naive youngster, I voted for him in the 1988 primaryMe too. I always thought that media way overplayed his "I'm in control here" statement, thought it was a way of saying to the Russkies you better not try anything because the President was shot and the VP was out of DC. Now he has apparently lost his mind, or maybe he really was crazy in 1981.

What do Colon Powell and Bob Woodward have in common?
They both worked for Haig.

Now he has apparently lost his mind, or maybe he really was crazy in 1981. I totally agree.

"Fortunately, hes not in control here. "Thank you.
Al Haig had his ST*U moment back in 1981.
