I've given up.
At first, I was hopeful that he would get tossed after being declared ineligible, but on second thought... I now think it is for the best.

President Barack Hussein Obama is here to stay... for now.

Why?
(Has ol' Bon Mots flipped his lid? Gone to the 'dark side'?)

Whoever gets in is going to make a mess.
The current meltdown has been brewing for a long time, it has finally all come to a head. The process was actually started by Roosevelt.
The only conceivable way out for a Democrat or almost any politician who wants his head to remain attached at the neck is to hyperinflate.
The brightest economic genius on planet earth could not prevent what we are about to go through, so why have all the blame heaped on yet another Republican or Capitalist.

The Sheeple wanted their Socialist experiment?
Well, they are going to get it. Good and hard, as H.L. Mencken might have said.

How can I say such a thing?
Answer in one word: Chile

They elected Salvador Allende, who was openly Marxist and tried to do many of the things that Obambi proposes. It was an unmitigated disaster.

Allende only took two years to make such a catastrophic mess of things that the path was clear for the bravest of Latin American heros, Augusto Pinochet - who is reviled by the International Left to this day.

Chile emerged from their catastrophic Marxist experiment to quickly become the richest and best run society in Latin America.

Likewise, the catastrophic leftist experiment in the UK paved the way for Maggie Thatcher.

Milton Friedman famously said that the 19th century in America was a unique time in human history - not just because it spawned the industrial revolution's most productive days, but because it was one of the only times in human history where people truly were free - a gold standard, free from taxes, free from rampant government...

Thomas Jefferson believed that we need to repeat our revolution every few decades...

Obambi is going to make such a mess. He is listening to the Neo-Keynsians and the clamoring people beseeching him to "DO SOMETHING!". The economy is smoking and smoldering and the Neo-Keynsians he has surrounded himself with are forming a bucket brigade and passing him buckets full of gasoline.

We are heading for a perfect storm.
Hopefully, our own Pinochet or Thatcher will finally emerge and return the nation to sanity.

In the meantime, stock up on food, ammunition, gold... get out of US Dollars, load up on dollar debt for income producing investments which can weather this perfect storm.

I’ve often thought this is very. You could pack up and move anywhere to start a new life or business without any government masters riding your back.

a very thoughtful analysis.

I agree I wouldn’t want Bush or McCain to inherit what mess wasn’t theirs. that is why Bush is pushing for this temporary loan to the auto industry....better the mess goes where it beongs in january...to the DEms.

“We are heading for a perfect storm.”

You’re quite right of course, I’ve been thinking the same thing.

At the same time though I believe that if Obama refuses to show his BC and the Gov’t refuses to make him then WE THE PEOPLE should put aside all of our private affairs and go to Washington and see that the Constitution is followed. Period.

I think so too, and everyone should
be making their preparations for it now.

You forgot the 15-plus years of military dictatorship. I'd rather not go through that, thank you very much.
