Claims of Obama Proofers Go "Poof"
Pajamas Media ^ | December 12 | Bob Owens

Posted on 12/12/2008 4:50:42 PM PST by AJKauf

Barack Obama never renounced his U.S. citizenship. Also, as he was a minor when he moved to Indonesia, neither he nor his parents could have renounced it. Period. As far as U.S. law is concerned, Barack Obama never lost his U.S. citizenship even as he gained Indonesian citizenship. Indonesia’s laws on the matter simply don’t apply in this country.

And so while multiple lawsuits challenging his eligibility still have appeals left to be exhausted, the simple fact of the matter is that there is no credible evidence that Barack Obama is anything other than a U.S. citizen “natural born” in a Hawaiian hospital in 1961. As a result, none of the cases submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court is likely to be heard.

But will the quashing of the various legal challenges be enough to satisfy those that have bought into these unsupported theories?

If past conspiracy theories can be a guide, then “no.”

His grandmother's not credible?

Not when the interview that was supposed to have been done with her was done in a language she doesn't speak.

Joe Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young is one of Obama’s lawyers.

Do you believe this is being done Pro Bono? How naive are you?

In Indonesia, the parents have the right to represent underage chilren to renounce their US citizenships.

Not according to U.S. law. See Title 8 > Chapter 12 > Subchapter III > Part III > § 1481 of the U.S. code.

When you want to apply for an Indonesia passport, you have to relinquish all other passports.

Says who?

I agree, there’s something there he doesn’t want the American public to see.

Since when does a candidate for POTUS have the right to refuse to prove his citizenship. It is clearly in the Constitution that natural born citizenship is required. In effect, he is overruling the Constitution.

I actually tried to find out if there is any vetting process involved in getting on the ballot for POTUS but I couldn’t find a thing, it appears that there is not requirement that anyone prove they are eligible.

***Interesting tidbit. Sounds like something the courts need to get to the bottom of. Naturally, the courts wouldn’t have to spend 10 minutes on this if zer0bama would just spend the $10 and release his BC to whomever asks, just like McCain did. There weren’t a dozen lawsuits against McCain before election day.

Name ONE witness that places Stanley Anne Dunham pregnant or with a newborn baby in the state of Hawaii in 1961...........

Just ONE witness to attest to the birth of the elusive ‘one’.

1.Relative..............
2.Classmate..........
3.Neighbor...........
4.Friend...............
5.Doctor..............
6.Midwife............
7.Nurse...............
8.Hospital Roommate
9.Co-worker (Grandmother’s bank)
10.Co-Worker (Grandfather’s store)
11. Pediatrician
12.Pediatric Nurse
13.Baby-sitter
14.Store-clerk
15.Postman
16.Landlord
17.Teacher
18. Just Anyone
19 Just one photograph prior to the age of 18 months old with family in the picture ( mother?, father?, Grandparents? friends?)

Does anyone other than the Democrat Congressman, Abercrombie, place Stanley Dunham in Hawaii in that year?

Admittedly, they would have been a very uncommon sight in Hawaii in the early 1960’s. A pale white teenage mother with an older African man and an African baby in a city with less than a 1% Black population woul have been unusual. With the importance and spectacular news coverage of this election and his stardom, several witnesses woul have stepped into the limelight if they existed in Hawaii.

Where are they?

Would you our anyone else post a link (other than someone else's post) that shows were Obama has spent a dime. He has not even been named in most of the law suits

Second the motion. I keep reading claims about all the money Obama has spent, but no evidence of it. How would anybody know how much (if anything) he's spent? I'm sure Obama and his campaign have spent a ton of money on lawyers in general, but what makes anyone so sure that his attorneys did any work related to the issue of his birth?

I am sure if you go back to some of the threads, you can find one that mentions the amounts. You seem to have been here long enough for it not to escape your notice.

I think right after the birth, the family fled to Egypt, IIRC.

The U.S. Constitutional authors did not want a president with multiple country allegiances.

I can’t believe how many people, including those allegedly on the Right, are so eager to declare the Obama birth certificate question to be a conspiracy theory on par with the 9/11 truthers without ever having even see the most basic documentation to prove this one way or another - the birth certificate. It’s disgusting, and disturbingly anti-intellectual. McCain produced his. Let Obama produce his.
