To: Trust but Verify
How about responding to the fact that GM and Toyota sell the same number of cars and while toyota MAKES billions, GM LOSES billions? How do you think that happens? And don;t say it’s because of executive pay.

Let's see. There could be government regulations. Environmental regulations. Taxes. Did I forget anything? Oh, and high pay for labor. I agree that labor costs are high for the big three but this endless vilification of ALL the people that work for them is mindless.

You really don't get it, do you? People aren't vilifying the workers, they're vilifying the UNION. My son works at a job where he is forced to belong to a corrupt union. I bitch about the corruption of the union all the time. Does that mean I'm vilifying my son?

Any simpleton can look at the wage/benefit costs of UNIONIZED automakers and those of non-unionized automakers and come to the conclusion that the labor costs are what is dragging down the former.
