Barney weighs in on the the auto company bailout.

It would be a bail out for the UAW, not the car companies, simply put, the Unions have bankrupted the geese that laid the golden eggs by impossible demands for a small percentage of Americans who now stand to lose not only their cushy perks but their homes and jobs. Greed never pays.

Agreed. Barney's new line is 'Union workers are people too'.
This whole thing is a mess. I think we're between a hard and a rock place.

If ‘Union workers are people too’, why can't they work for the same wages and benefits as other American Auto Workers who make Toyota's, Nissan's and Honda's in the United States?

The UAW will not make any concessions on their contracts. To me, that says it all. They made their bed - let them try to sleep in it.
Steve on F&F mentioned the number of people (720,000) that are in the union, plus more in the ancillary companies that would be impacted. Why should the millions of taxpayers have to pay to support those in the union?

Barney Frank is SO FAR OUT TO LUNCH that he must be dining on an asteroid travelling in another galaxy. He suffers from a complete intellectul disconnect with respect to the realities of business and basic economics.
A perfect example of government without a clue.
