Franken is in desperation mode. His affidavits will likely be rejected unless someone is actually going to conduct an investigation to determine if there is validity to the claims in the affidavits.

What this amounts to is another election where he will try to sway the election with affidavits versus ballots. There will have to be a bunch of hearings and investigations to determine the validity the affidavits. If we go back to the 2000 election (which Algore lost, BTW) this seems to be the model that Franken is following. In the aftermath of the 2000 election in which claims were made in FloriDUH that large numbers of minorities were disenfranchised at the polls. The Civil Rights Commission conductive an extensive series of hearings across FloriDUH in response to the claims and were unable to find a single minority whose claims of disenfranchisement could be validated.

As a result, I believe that Franken will send up this trial balloon as the next possible step to steal the election and, assuming that doesn't work, he will then challenge it in court. We have to remember that Franken is unemployed and has failed as a “comedian”, failed as a radio talk show host and if he fails at stealing Coleman's Senate seat, he may have to take a job flipping burgers or working at Walmart to keep he family fed. He's definitely feeling the heat!!
