If we were going to riot, we should have rioted when the bankers were bailed out. Not gonna happen.
I agree there will be no riots! But my take on the whole issue is I suspect the Unions have somehow taken control and used the union member’s pension money and now they have a fear that all this will be bound out. Could be off base but then it is one scenario that makes sense to me.
I don’t often post because I usually am either completely ignored or flamed. So take your pick! lol
This is America, not Greece. We do not riot.
but i wanted to riot.
the other kids got to riot.
when will it be our turn to riot.
Exactly. They did a survey and the country is pretty much split down the middle on the auto bailout; not so for the banks.
I remember hearing a quote once about the people who count the money or the numbers people and how we need to watch them carefully. It’s a house of cards and has been for some time. Just keep printing all the money - no problemo.
While I'll agree that those who oppose the bailout are not among the folks who are prone to rioting, that's not the case with people who are not in the auto industry who don't mind the bailout. The whole idea of, "Hey, you did it for them, you need to do it for me!" will be uppermost on their minds.
DeMint has a point in that it has to stop somewhere. While the Wall Street bailout shouldn't have been done, if it had worked, it would have saved the rest of the economy. Propping up the bloated UAW is not going to make life better for more than a few million for a short while. Stopping the buck here takes the political courage that Congress did not have before the election.
This DeMint guy will probably be the most effective spokesman for conservative values in the next couple of years, while I admire Sarah Palin, we need someone to lead who can show us that he can actively thwart the socialism that Obamunism threatens to bring.
I agree. If anyone would riot it would be the UAW if they DON’T get a bailout.
