These federal prosecutors have about 40 days before they’re told to clean out their desks and wait for Security to escort them out of the building.

Nahhhh. The prosecutors are protecting Obama. That's the only reason that makes the premature arrest of Blago make sense. Rush pointed out that while Blago may be finished as a politician, by arresting him and essentially shutting down the corruption midstream, Blago could conceivably beat the whole thing since he was stopped before he could actually take a bribe, sell the seat, etc. etc. That makes zero sense, and is dead opposite of what was done with the Valerie Plame case. They let that case go and go until somebody actually DID something they could charge him with. With this Chicago case, they shut it down before it went too far and drug The One into it. Sickening.

I agree that Obama is being protected in all of this mess. There are a lot of people protecting Obama always. It doesn't make sense. He has been on a golden path for some time now and people seem to be very reluctant to cross him in any way. He is definitely a bookcover hiding something very sinister. However, I have also heard that Rezko is not the only one singing from his cell.

Attempted extortion is a felony. That is what they will nail Blago on, he did commit a crime. He approached people and he made an attempt to extort money from them in exchange for appointing them to a senate seat. The extortion part is where he threatened not to appoint them unless they came across with money or other favors. Russ is wrong on this point, yep he was nailed before he could commit one crime but he had already committed other felonies and this one particular incident is just the start, they have many hours of tapes with this guy. Granted, Bozo may be protected by the prosecutors but not because they moved to soon. Many other people will face charges, and who knows, maybe if Bozo doesn’t come up with what the prosecutors want they will take him down anyway(the corruption runs deep).

You are correct. I fully expect Fitzgerald to stay on as US Attorney after Obama takes office. I also fully expect Blago to walk away from this with no felony convictions. Never underestimate the power of the D that follows these politicians' names.
