That is not speeding. That is unsafe lane changing. Heck, you can do that in rush hour going 20 below the limit.

People need to learn to separate the offenses here. This is very black and white. That is how the law works. This issue has NOTHING to do with speeders any more than it has to do with people driving with expired tabs.

It has to do with people who block other cars in the passing lane while not actually passing someone.

There's a unique breed of driver around here that we occasionally see - they hog the left lane, slowly passing the trucks and such in the right lane. Then, when the pass is complete and the right lane opens up, they stay in the left lane and speed up until the next column of cars comes up. Then they slow down and pass slowly again.

I make it a point to put the hammer down and pass these special idiots by using the right lane. And I am not alone. They apparently seem to think that they have the right to dictate speed limits on those around them. My opinion differs.
