William Shakespeare underscored the true horror of the Jack Cade rebellion (despite the comic relief with which he describes the events) by depicting Cade’s hanging of a man who could write his name instead of making his mark like a self-respecting illiterate peasant. Militant Muslims have brought similar practices into the 21st century by throwing battery acid into the faces of Afghan girls because the girls were going to school, presumably to learn how to read and write. Five Afghan schoolgirls have been attacked with battery acid by suspected Taliban fighters in the southern city of Kandahar.
…”We were on the way to school when two men on motorbikes stopped next to us. One of them threw acid on my sister’s face. I tried to help her and then they threw acid on me too,” said Latefa, a 16-year-old student.

March 15, 2002: Saudi Arabia's religious police stopped schoolgirls from leaving a blazing building because they were not wearing correct Islamic dress, according to Saudi newspapers.
My heart aches for these precious girls, and all oppressed women in that country. May Jesus go to them and bring to them true peace and restore their bodies and souls. May the true God bless these precious girls. May they come to the knowledge that the true God loves and values them, unlike allah(satan), who despises them.

I think they are demanding 7th century (in)justice.
They only care about their own petty selves. So long as they don’t have acid on their own faces, they don’t care. When they say “women’s rights” they really mean “rights for me!”
