It’s possible, though I don’t know how probable, that the SCOTUS knew about this and didn’t take the Donofrio case because it would have muddied the waters. It would certainly be wonderful if, on January 20, Obama was indicted rather than inaugurated.

Possibly, after all it seems that the Justice Dept was aware of the impending results of the Blago investigation. I would welcome an indictment but, too many powerful people in places will see to it that the Zer0 is not compromised. There is just too much at stake....

That would indeed be wonderful, and almost unimaginable.
Think about why these indictments were announced NOW. Why didn’t Fitz & co. wait until Blag. had ensnared more people in his bidding process and then announced a pick for Senate? This is more likely to be damage-control than a step in a process which will lead to Obama.
