I think Hillary knows the truth behind the BC but she dared not use it because it would have alienated blacks which the Dems covet so strongly.

Both Hillary & McCain had strong reasons to not follow through here. The interesting thing was that Hillary's reasons were in her self-interest. McCains reasons were of the "shoot yourself in the foot" type.
