I know I’m in the minority here, but I completely agree with the President.

He clearly needs Ken Hamm to whack him over the head and then take a tour of the Creation Musuem in Cincy.

I agree with The President. To all the Bush- haters, you have rejected a true man of God, humble and gracious. I was upset with his immigration policies and such, but never at the man.

Whatever respect I had for President Bush is gone.

I believe he’s a Christian, but what kind of Christian witness is he doing by denying that the Bible is not 100% true? What a disheartening comment to make to your political base. At this low point in his political career, I think he’s looking to obtain favor with the liberal presidential historians.

I agree as well.

I think that evolution is the best current explanation as to HOW God made what we see around us.

When I taught Biology, I always said that God could do whatever he wanted. I don’t think we came from apes, however.

I would not say that. My guess is the free republic brotherhood is generally very religious, but split 50/50 on the evolution debate. I respect them and your view. But here are some things to consider since words take on multiple meaning in this debate:

Some refer to evolution and really mean the big bang theory and that the universe is very old. An old universe and old earth are compatible with the biblical account of genesis. Full disclosure, this is my view of creation of the cosmos.

Darwinian Evolution. Many aspects of Darwin's speciation are not compatible with the biblical world view; specifically, references to certain minority groups being inferior to the white race or women being inferior to men. GOD is not a racist or a sexist.

Micro Evolution. Nothing in the bible addresses this and the scientific evidence would point to Micro Evolution.

Marco Evolution. Marco evolution if defined by lower species changing (by chance)into different species (some cases, improved over the host species)is not compatible with a biblical world view. Many reasons for this but here is one. The bible is clear that Adam and Eve are not allegories (although elements of the garden story are allegories). Adam is referred to by other authors in the bible and by Christ as a person. Christ is descended from Adam. Paul writes that by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world. Since the mechanism for evolution is chance, the theory necessities there would have to be several Homo Sapien Sapien (man) evolving from a preceding Homo Sapien species. This clearly contradicts the bible. Christ died for Man's real problem of sin, not as an allegory to wrap up a long standing theme of the Bible. As such, I am not sure how the President, whom I also respect, balances two conflicting world views.

To show you that I not only look at biblical text in coming to this conclusion, I will offer this; DNA studies confirm the one man one woman lineage of man. Studies available on the WWW.
