President Bush received a warm ardent welcome, as well as praise, at the Union League and a very enthusiastic reception at the Army-Navy game.
He received standing ovations at both places.

Of course he did, why would it be otherwise?

Click on the link and actually read the article. It could answer your question.
Besides his low approval ratings he was in the Democratic People’s Republic of Philadelphia. Palin was booed here.

Is that your picture or a wire service?

Ah. Well if Bush was cheered and Palin was booed, I’m thinking that’s not what we would call “friendly territory.”

I got to see him as he left after the third quarter. I was getting some hot chocolate ( it was cold) with my wife when the security people started to cordon off the area.

Bushie applauded by the welcoming crowd and NAVY BEAT ARMY IN A SHUT OUT - all is right with the world in PA - until next year - UGH!

Philadelphia? Friendly territory for Republicans? A city where Democrats have ruled with an iron fist for almost three generations?
Nah.
As I like to say - Pennsylvania is America sandwiched between the People’s Democratic Republics of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

That is good as it should be...President Bush does not deserve the hate that has been directed toward him, it is terribly unfair.

It is truly a shame that the left including the media have made President Bush out to be such a bad guy when he has been a very good President. A President getting a warm welcome should be expected, not considered “news”. I pray that President Bush’s legacy will be written by those who know the character of the man and treat him with the utmost respect that he deserves.
