Americans don't like being told their votes don't count even when they are wrong. Fine-point constitutional issues such as this draw even less support. Freepers can whine about it all day, but it's true.

The American people get what they want. Right now, they want Obama. Woe to whomever stands in their way for the moment.

Remember, Prohibition passed pretty quickly because . . . the PEOPLE WANTED IT. And after a while, it didn't take much to repeal it because . . . the PEOPLE WANTED TO GET RID OF IT.

Just like that, in less than 15 years, a constitutional amendment was voted in, then out. And that one was not associated with a person who had just won 60+ million votes.
