In recent years, the Russian bear has bared his fangs at Ukraine as the grim season commemorating genocide-by-famine 75 years ago.

On November 22, the former "Soviet republic" of Ukraine observed the 75th anniversary of the end of the Holodomor, a genocide-by-famine perpetrated by Josef Stalin's Soviet government which left up to ten million Ukrainian men, women, and children dead due to forced starvation.

I wonder if B.O. prefers this version of events, or the Alinsky version.

We are all Kulaks now. Beware of Obama’s American dekulakization programs.

This is among the least known but among the most deadly genocides/crimes against humanity.

I'm Ukranian and knew people that lived through it. 20-30% of the population was wiped out officially in 4 years.

One of the scariest things is that most of these people respected and admired Stalin all the way to their graves. My grandmother watched most of her siblings starve to death, still calls Stalin a "Good SOB" and justifies the killings as good for the nation.

Never underestimate the power of propoganda. With today's 24/7 media, it could get much worse.

The Drive bys don't have quite the monopoly they had 20 years ago.

My mother lived through this period too and saw her younger siblings to die of famine. The rest of the family survived on rodents that my mother used to catch and suffocate with her bare hands.

I don’t know, but if one looks casually at the political cess pool from whence he sparang, anxiety is not out of the question.
