Let's not forget the head scarves. Just think of poor Isadora Duncan. My first thought, as well. For those who don't know, Isadora Duncan was a world-famous dancer and courtesan at the beginning of the 20th century who was killed when her long, trailing scarf that was wrapped around her head and neck became entangled in the spokes of the convertible sports car in which she was riding. When the car accelerated, the wheel spun the scarf tight and strangled her.

When I was a kid, my folks wouldn't let me wear a scarf, because of Isadora Duncan.
