Maybe CVS managers consulted with Pizza Hut owners in Riviera Beach.

Wait.

You mean corporations are no longer allowed to decide for themselves where to open their places of business?

What COUNTRY do we live in?

Lemme guess - they don’t want to put stores full of costly drugs in neighborhood where they will likely be robbed at least once a week for said drugs.

Didn’t read the article - am I right?

failing to provide customers equal access to stores and services in Philadelphia

I live in south Texas. They have much better access to Philadelphia stores than I do.

Why should CVS lose money in poor neighborhoods?

Less affluent areas are also high crime areas. I doubt CVS wants to locate a store carrying tobacco, narcotics and alcohol in a crime-ridden area, endangering employees.

OMG, CVS placed their stores where they believed they would be profitable! Somebody sue them for not being like our automakers and federally backed mortgage companies.

To avoid being called racists.

A Kroger store just opened in "the hood" in Cincinnati. If I lived in that neighborhood, I'd organize a neighborhood watch to keep the store safe. Wouldn't want thugs to make me look bad.

The sharks must smell blood in the water. CVS is nothing compared to Wawa in terms of store location and Philly neighborhoods. I hope CVS holds their ground.

Money quote.

It’s just another fake “redlining” shakedown.

Yeh, that would be breaking WHAT law? “If you are going to have a business, then you must have it where WE say.” I say they fight it. Or put in one that is 10’ x 10’.

Pizza delivery drivers were actually forced by “anti-discrimination” laws to make deliveries in extremely dangerous neighborhoods - the kinds of places where even the police are afraid to go - until a court ruled that forcing delivery drivers to do that violated their right to a safe workplace. Leftist race laws defeated by a leftist labor law! I love it.

Did they post signs that said “Whites Only”?

I didn’t think so.

So they didn’t want to build stores in blighted neighborhoods where their property would be covered with graffiti before the store opened, the construction site would be vandalized and robbed, and the final store property vandalized, robbed and taxed to high heaven.
