What this reminds me of: Cases some years back by left wing lawyers arguing they were justified in trying to close down military bases because of the threat of nuclear anihilation.
Now the left has found a kook legal wedge that is working. And we have a political class that is fostering this zaniness.

In addition to the climate change, the other main threat is oil and gas development The actual target is oil/gas development.

Due to the Artic environment a walrus penis has a bone so that they can "get it up" when a female walrus is hot to trot1

Quite a boner! Maybe that lady environmentalist could use/abuse this!

Another atempt by “environmentalists” to stop oil and gas drilling.
The polar bear listing was just the tip of the iceberg.

Below is listed a few names being considered by the Obama administration for the secretary position at the Dept. of the Interior, and EPA administrator:
EPA — former Sierra Club president and environmental activist Lisa Renstrom, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Pace University law professor and chairman of the Waterkeeper Alliance, another advocacy group.
Interior — John Leshy, and Jamie Rappaport Clark, Defenders of Wildlife. Clark is a former Secretary under the Clinton Administration.

Thanks for the rundown, Girl. All of those people are disasters for exploration of natural resources. I thought Kempthorne was a turkey for listing the polar bear but these nuts are much worse.
Just looked quickly at John Leshy, here's some political donations by him.
