We conservatives must treat our doctrinal differences with respect, and just agree to disagree, if we are going to have an effective coalition. It is in the interest of the Left to keep us at each other’s throats. In fact, I wonder if some of the Mormon and Catholic bashers aren’t actually trolls for the Left.

Such coalitions work. I’ve participated in them. It worked in California for Prop. 8.

Agreed. There are enough enemies of conservative values.

You might be right about some of the trolls. Kind of like this guy, Lawrence O'Donnell

But some on Freerepublic are the staunch, dig in the heals, defend with all their might what they have been taught. Although I disagree with them and sometimes even take offense, I respect the "sticking to their guns/roots" or whatever you call it.
