Disappointment in Georgia (Liberal crying ..haha)
The Nation ^ | 12/02/2008 | John Nichols

Posted on 12/03/2008 5:36:32 AM PST by AmericanMade1776

On the eve the last Senate election of 2008, a still-campaigning Sarah Palin declared: "You Georgians are going to have the opportunity to determine the direction this country is going to take."

The Georgians blinked.

Instead of stepping into the 21st century with most of the rest of the country – including the southern states of Virginia and North Carolina, both of which backed Barack Obama for president and replaced Republican senators with Democrats – Georgia opted for the past.

Georgians had the advantage of getting a sneak peek at Obama’s “change” before they voted.

Instead of stepping into the 21st century with most of the rest of the country

I'd like for John Nichols to explain how a complete retread of the Clinton administration is "stepping into the 21st century".

The Irony of it is, not even Democrats would turn out to vote for John Martin in the run off election in Georgia.

It’s disturbing to call anyone who disagrees with you “backward looking”. When people talk of Stalin and Hitler, they say, “How could it have happened?” or “It could never happen here!”...Well, to watch it happen in slow motion, one need only look at articles like this and the irresponsible demagoguery that has become “reporting” these days.

OK....

I bit the bullet and voted for Shameful Chamblis, but only because the demonrat that he ran against was marginally worse - and it would have helped the national demonrats.

Won’t be a bit surprised if he votes with the fricken rats anyway.

My Dear Ignorant Mr. Nichols,

Please observe the people of Georgia are hard working, God fearing, gun loving, bible reading conservative people. We can’t help it if the Obama voters comprised of ONLY Atlanta, Macon and a few other misguided cities came out in droves to vote for your messiah and everyone else who had a D after their name. They were nowhere to be found during this runoff. Why? They don’t care, they just wanted to vote for the black guy.

Do me a favor and keep your liberalism to yourself and your close circle of friends.

Sincerely

Considering that the lack of a black turnout to vote surely had a negative impact on the result, I find it hard to believe that OHB did not campaign down there.

It’s possible that this blunder cost him a filabuster-proof Senate.

Just because you lost limbs in service to your country that does not make you a good politician.
Thank you for your sacrefice Mr. Cleland.
As it was not a reason to elect McLame. Thank you for your sacrifice Mr. McCain, now go home and retire.
