“Once you factor in Specter, the 2 from Maine, and a few others, we don’t really have a solid 40 anyway. I can’t see McConnell maintaining too many filibusters even with Norm and Saxby back in the fold.”

Specter, Collins, Hagle, Martinez, Juan McPain, Lugar, Nelson, Smith, and Snowe are the Axis of RINO’s

Which Nelson were you talking about? There are two Nelsons in the Senate-—Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Bill Nelson of Florida. They are Democrats.

And by the way, it’s Hagel, not Hagle.

Also BTW, Hagel didn't run for reelection and has been replaced by a Conservative so we are rid of him in the Senate!

For a little frosting of schadenfreude: back when he was considering running for president, he approached a top Republican campaign manager type to be HIS campaign manager and was told rather coldly that he should pay attention to his senate campaign as he was far from a shoo-in for reelection. Apparently he checked around and found out the guy was being kind...

Sorry I don't remember the source for the above, but it was a solid, reliable Republican pundit and I heard it on either TV or radio—it was a looonnnng time ago, maybe as much as two years. I've forgotten the messenger and all the details but I sure did remember the message with a great deal of pleasure.
