“Imperial Presidency”. I do hope Mr. Howard will monitor the deeds of all presidents within his lifetime with the same fervor and through the same lens as he viewed the G.W. Bush’s presidency. While I have disagreed with some of the President’s policies and found his inability to “sell” what had to be done during our attempt to quell violence in other areas of the world to the American public at the least frustrating, I do not believe he acted alone or without counsel, nor do I believe he served his terms without pressure from extremely powerful politicians and captains of industry.

Realizing one cannot be an expert in every area, one relies on advice and experience of others. In the end, the decision rests with the President. If it’s right, he/she’s a hero. If it isn’t, he/she’s a villain. Neither is the correct lens through which to view the man or woman. Mr. Howard really must see things from a wider lens.

Ron and especially his brother Clint (http://www.nndb.com/people/628/000025553/) both resemble Henry Waxman, and their politics are similar.

Not another dime from me to Mr. Howard. Nor from my wife. Or my five kids. Or my 11 grandchildren (when they’re old enough to actually have money, anyway).

Andy, sorry to tell you this, but your son makes Gomer look like like Einstein?

Despite their faith in the power of metaphor, Hollywood is still dumb and/or disingenuous. They flatter themselves for adhering to an old script written in the 60s. Blinders are so reassuring to the blind. Nothing new in tabloid town.

Funny stuff. Opie shows off his 5th grade education. His parents should have sent him to school instead of pimping him out to Andy.

Opie has made some good movies, he was a real cute kid, that does not give him special powers as a political commentator.

I used to think that, as Hollywood types go, Ron Howard was a decent and halfway intelligent guy. Unfortunately, he is regurgitating the left-wing hate-Bush propaganda that has absolutely no basis in fact. Ron Howard's decision to do this demonstrates either his ignorance, his willingness to lie in public to impress his leftist Hollywood friends or both. Ron-Boy is just another liberal Hollywood Bush-hater and either can't or won't learn the facts that would undercut his idiotic statements at this film screening.

Kudos to Chris Wallace, a very under-rated journalist who doesn't employ the bombast of some of the more notable Fox News commentators (Wallace is not a commentator but a reporter - huge difference). Nor does he have the charisma of some TV anchormen. However, Chris Wallace remains a fair and balanced reporter that said what had to be said in this instance when these Hollywood dopes were saying totally untrue things about the current president.

My question to those who try to pretend that President Bush is some kind of devious Nixon-like criminal that has done terrible things during his presidency is simply this: with a Democrat majority in congress since January, 2007, why hasn't Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats gleefully impeached Bush, Cheney and most of the Bush administration? It's usually a rhetorical question because the answer is so obvious: no evidence! Not a shred. The accusations from the hate-Bush crowd are simply lies that attempt to criminalize political policy differences and have, for the Democrats, the added benefit of slowly but inevitably persuading far too many Americans that President George W. Bush is a criminal and should be loathed and reviled, just as the left loath and revile him.

Sadly, due to a depressing lack of personal communication skills and some blatant gaffes during his presidency, Bush's job-approval numbers are dismal and he will leave office under a cloud, of sorts. The Democrats have desperately tried to characterize the entire Bush presidency as a failure and they have more than halfway succeeded. This is very disturbing.

That is why I admire Chris Wallace for speaking truth to idiots, in this case. This should happen a lot more often and I can only hope that, as the Obama presidency reveals itself to be the disaster it likely will be, President Bush will be seen in a truer light, without the lies and mischaracterizations of the hard left, hate-Bush crowd, who will be far too busy defending Obama's socialist, economy-killing policies to an angry American population who no longer think standing there and 'looking cool' is being a leader.

Whatever their opinion of Bush, that these idiots could not see the obvious differences between him and Nixon is frightening. How can people be that stupid?

In the article it is noted that they believe President Bush is hiding something and, "historians need to look at documents that will shed light on the inner workings of the Bush Administration, and accused Mr. Bush of making that process more difficult in an exectutive order issued in November, 2001."

Yet they were completely comfortable with a candidate who sealed and hid every documented record on himself. Even the most routine documents.

Ron Howard has dropped off of my list of tolerable people. He left my list of respected people years ago. No conclusion that he asserts can be reached by the use of logic.

Ron Howard and his ilk have seen nothing yet. They will be witnesses to probably the worse kind of abuse of power we have ever witnessed once the Obama team takes over.

And you! Ron Howard were one of the idiots that voted for him.

Howard is a dumb ass. If Bush had done something that the democrats could have gone after him for they would have. And that’s all that little bald headed dweeb needs to know.

What Nixon essentially did was to obstruct the investigation and prosecution of a third-rate burglary.
