But there's a new angle here, as well. As far as I know, this reporter is the first to have bothered to call the coroner and ask about the circumstances and date of her death.
But the only public comment made by the Honolulu Medical Examiner, who acts as coroner in Honolulu, Hawaii was, We didnt work that case.
The response is very similar to the one given by the official concerning the existence of Obama's original vault certificate, under seal. Basically, answering the question by dodging the question. Why didn't he work on that case? Who did work on that case? Did anybody work on that case? Is she in fact even dead? The response tells us nothing.
“...who had been kept under virtual house arrest for more than a year...”
I hadn’t heard that. Just assumed because of her health, the press didn’t bother her. The African grandmother has been moved to an undisclosed location to keep her from the press.
“But the only public comment made by the Honolulu Medical Examiner, who acts as coroner in Honolulu, Hawaii was, We didnt work that case.
This “grandmother” angle tarnished the credibility of an article otherwise crafted very potently. Coroners typically don’t get involved in deaths unless they are under suspicious circumstances or involve out-of-state residents etc. If grandma’s doctor signed her death certificate, there would be no reason for a coroner to get involved. So perhaps Pravda is just naive on this point or deliberately deceitful. The same goes with the “kept on ice” comment. There WAS a memorial service held for grandma—announced in advance!—as even a most cursory Google search shows:
“A memorial service for President-elect Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu Friday.
The service, which is open to the public, will begin at 5:00 p.m. but the Obama family will not be in attendance.
Obama’s campaign says the president-elect will visit Hawaii in December to honor his grandmother, who helped raise him in Honolulu and died two nights before the election.”

In short, this particular piece of the story smacked of the sort of “disinformation” typically of Soviet propaganda; this permits Obamaphiles to just dismiss the story as a distorted attack.
