Let me get this straight:

Canada held a legal election in which the conservatives won. Now, barely a month later, the Liberals have struck a deal with a separatist element within the parliament to remove the conservatives from power?

That doesn’t seem like it will fly, and if successful, I can see a big backlash from the voters.

Short answer, no; they didn’t win. They got a larger minority vote but still a minority government. They needed the support of another party to govern and they lost the support of that party.
