Actually, his teleprompter skipped a few lines and he had to adlib.

It wasn’t “terrorism.”

The word he misspoke was “freedom.”

"absolutely committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism."

By offering them lots and lots of money to keep quiet for awhile. He's going to eliminate the "threat" of terrorism during his administration. Not terrorism or terrorists.

I am not convinced yet...He is just parroting what his advisers tell him would be smart to say!

Makes me feel hopey-changey all over. Where’s he gonna start, his own neighborhood? (see Ayers)

The Plan: Surround, drive, and concentrate them [a la the Mongol Great Hunt]. Then talk them to death.

IMO, the only way to eliminate the threat of terrorism is to vote all Liberals out of office ASAP.

“Obama committed to ‘eliminating the threat of terrorism’”

The only way that Obama is going to eliminate terrorism is by calling it something else. The term terrorist and terrorism will be come non-PC.

CHICAGO (AFP) – US president-elect Barack Obama Monday vowed his incoming administration was "absolutely committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism."

"We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance...I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organised crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise. It isn't threatening people's lives every day." John Kerry, 2004

Oh, yeah, and the appointment of open-borders governor Napolitano to his cabinet is a step in the right direction — NOT!!!!

The liberals told us from September 12, 2001 on until today that eradicating terrorism/making war on terror was an absurd exercise that could never, ever be successful. But I predict none of them will be laughing up their sleeves when Emperor Zero proclaims he can destroy it completely.

I’m not yet convinced he’s going to be *good* at it, though I certainly wish him well, for our country’s sake. I merely noticed a change in tone.

That'll work. After all, handgun violence ceased in Chicago as soon as they banned them.

Funny how being given a few serious briefings and being suddenly responsible for it all gives a guy a sudden injection of perspective.

I'm sorry, we're not through being hysterical here.

No seriously, I think you're right. I think his first major briefing was an "oh crap!" moment and his actions since then have reflected that.

He's still wrong on many levels. But I think having reality stare him in the face may just be making him less radical.

Still, he's got (at least) four years to prove me wrong.

Keywords and catchphrases, maybe. But, overall his performances have been less than awe-inspiring. A conservative conducting these press conferences as poorly overall as he has would be getting slaughtered by the msm.
