More specifically, an AK sans magazine

I wondered if I was the only one who saw that. I initially thought it was an sks with a fixed mag b/c of the little bump, but there is no bolt! Besides, I cannot conceive of those guys going in with weapons not able to go fully auto.

They were comfortable terrorists alright. I think if I had shot up 100s of people, I would want to keep full mags in place. Then again, I can't conceive of just wanting to kill innocents in the first place. Men's hearts are black pits, I think...., and that means mine as well. So says the old book.

” but here in SC, state law forbids the carry of a firearm into a business that has a license to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption. That counts out just about every decent eating establishment in the state... and some that aren’t so decent. Heck, I can’t even go into a Pizza Hut, because they serve beer.”

Each state has different rules. Here in Texas the prohibition only applies to places that have been determined (by the DPS) to derive more than half their revenue from sales of liquor. They must post a fairly large sign with “51” at the door which serves as the “off limits” sign. As it turns out the over 50% joints are mostly dives you wouldn’t go to anyway.

You can legally carry in just about all good eateries. Still a real big NO-NO to be intoxicated and armed - losing CHL would be least of it! — so 0% is a good number :-) CHL holders quickly become popular because they are always “volunteering” to be the designated driver...
