NEW DELHI: India's foreign ministry on Monday summoned Pakistan's ambassador to lodge an official protest over the Mumbai attacks, the Press Trust of India (PTI) said.

In New Delhi's first formal complaint to Islamabad, Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik was handed a message concerning his country's alleged "failure to curb terrorism emanating from its soil."

India's foreign ministry has said investigations have shown that all the militants involved in the Mumbai attacks were Pakistani nationals.

Pakistan's government has denied it was in any way linked to the atrocities, which left over 170 dead and close to 300 wounded.

India handed over the written protest just hours after New Delhi warned the carnage in Mumbai was a major setback for the slow-moving peace process launched by the South Asian neighbours in 2004.

"It is an evolving situation, but what has happened is a grave setback to the process of normalisation of relations and the confidence-building measures with Pakistan," Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma said.

"These gunmen were all from Pakistan. We are talking about elements in Pakistan," Sharma said. - AFP/ir/de

Idiot Indians - they should have dropped the message in Islamabad via a MOAB.

In other news, the British Parliament issued a formal complaint against Nazi Germany for the buzz bomb attacks that hit London. “It would be jolly good if you could stop that, my good fellow,” the complaint read.

My blood boils. Why do you even deal with these porkies. Starting a direct war involves collateral damage. Don’t forget porkies have arms dealings with China and they have N-Bomb. India should start a “Mossad” like agency and do what they do to their enemies.

Do you hear the expressions of outrage and condolences from the Muslim Ummah?

Does Pakistan vow to find the remaining perpetrators; the planners, financiers, suppliers, and supporters?

Nope. Just the familiar deafening silence, and a few lame and risible excuses such as “It must have been the Jews”.

Underneath that silence and glibness they are laughing up their sleeves.

Until the muslim-friendly Congress-Communist UPA Front is voted out of office, we’ll never see anything concrete against the Islamists in India.

This is true for all democracies around the world - we are in the midst of the defining struggle of our lives. Our enemies are not only the Islamists but also the left-wing “secularists” around the world. The War on Terror must be fought on both fronts.

It’s shameful that most sheeple are still in denial about the true nature of Islam.

I respect your view. But BJP cannot be trusted either. They ran with a natinalistic agenda last time around and once they came to power they did 360. They started “Alpa Sankhyak Divas” (Minority Day) and started inviting muslims. What ever happened to their stance on repealing article 370 (Special law for muslims).
Can we exchange Putin with our prime minister?

You are absolutely right. I can’t remember if you are in the US or not, but even if you are here I am sure you could help us learn more about what’s going on in India. It would be very helpful to many here on FR if people familiar with the political scene in India could post articles - maybe from India websites - and comment, or at least comment as much as you can. Inform the people here.

Here’s a link to comment 40 - a new ping list started on the subject:

I am sure that Muslims in the Indian military and/or police helped subvert the response, what do you think?

I also think that if India actually wants to protect herself she is going to have to clean out jihad sympathizers and actors from within.

And if you have ideas about the upcoming elections I read about, many here would like to read about them.

Hi Jeremiah.
if you want to keep yourself updated with situation in India, please use the following site. This is mostly Indian veterans, conservative, right-wing people.

http://www.bharat-rakshak.com

OR

You can opt to go with the mainstream media, which is similar to NBCs and CNNs, and “Oh, May be Hindus did this to tarnish the image of innocent Muslims” liberals.

Thank you. During the attacks in Mumbai, I clicked several Indian news sites and one - I think it was Times of India - said something about “terrorists have no religion, there is no one religion connected with terrorism” and I about had a heart attack.

I wrote them a comment (acutally one on another site) and of course they didn’t post them.

I saw then that India’s MSM is almost as bad as the US.

Rakshak - protect or protection, right?

Yes, You got it. Bharat is a “Sanskrit” name for India. Rakshak is protector.
