Barack Obama supporter Gregory Broome was surprised by the governor's speech.Governor Palin has star power"I think she is wonderful speaker it was invigorating to watch her speak, to see what she had to say, she talked about some core issues and I agreed with her, that was nice," said Broome.
It's just one anecdote but I think Sarah needs to get in front of as many live audiences as she can in the next couple of years. Problem is how to do that. She's really getting sniped at by Alaska Democrats and the MSM for this political trip. Other politicians make trips and speeches all the time without this kind of heat (Barry...cough, cough), but Sarah takes the heat. She's going to have to figure out how to deal with this.
My advice to Palin would be for her to stay in AK next year and work on the budget. With the poor economy, many states are going to have serious budget problems. AK is also going to have issues regarding oil. The biggest hurdle for Palin is proving herself to be competent problem solver. If she can handle budget and energy issues successfully, then her Presidential stock will sour.
