BOSTON - Gay and bisexual men in Massachusetts continue to be the hardest hit by the AIDS epidemic with a significant percentage of new cases appearing among minority men.
Thats according to a new report by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health that found while the state has had success battling the disease among injection drug users and heterosexual men and women, it has had less success among gay and bisexual men.
More than half of HIV infections between 2004 and 2006 were among gay and bisexual men even though they make up less than 10 percent of the population.

What a headline. Of course they “bear the brunt” of AIDS. They are the ones engaging in the behavior that spreads it. What should we do, infect a bunch of heterosexual, morally upright people to make it more fair?
To: NoLibZone
I guess their behavior has nothing to do with it.

"More than half of HIV infections between 2004 and 2006 were among gay and bisexual men" How much more than half, the article doesn't say. My guess is significantly more.

Gays/bisexuals bear bear brunt of AIDS The headline makes it sound like gays/bisexuals get AIDS accidentally. Maybe it's because they refuse to change their behavior...

'Bear the brunt?' Oh yeah, they're just minding their own business, pursuing orgasms their way ... How could they see it coming?
To: lady lawyer
As you say! It is a totally irresponsible headline.

I equate hearing someone who had unprotected sex and catching AIDS with a skydiver who’s chute didn’t open.
I have a hard time working up sympathy for either of them, unless the plane is on fire that is.

Oh yes. I believe World AIDS Day is tomorrow. We can expect to be treated to more lies from the media about how we are all at risk and must spend billions more to find a cure.
To: NoLibZone
This will never bother Liberals.
They care about “choice” and ideology. They don’t give a damn about the actual welfare of people.

“bear brunt of AIDS”
Confuses say: “man who bangs bare butt will bear brunt of AIDS”.
To: NoLibZone
The report, released just ahead of World AIDS Day on Monday, makes a series of recommendations, including free condom availability to gay and bisexual men, including high schoolers. What these researchers are not understanding is it has nothing at all to do with education or availability of condoms. In the promiscuous section of the gay population they reject condoms. It's like smokers, they know what the consequences are, and they are willing to accept the risks in order for what they see as the benefits.

They have no choice, you see. It is all genetic. There is nothing they can do to prevent their hands from unzipping their pants.
