BOSTON - Gay and bisexual men in Massachusetts continue to be the hardest hit by the AIDS epidemic with a significant percentage of new cases appearing among minority men.
Thats according to a new report by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health that found while the state has had success battling the disease among injection drug users and heterosexual men and women, it has had less success among gay and bisexual men.
More than half of HIV infections between 2004 and 2006 were among gay and bisexual men even though they make up less than 10 percent of the population.

I thought this was taboo? Pointing out the obvious.
In other news, criminals bear the brunt of being arrested more often than non-criminals.
My God...where would we be without the Boston Herald. I finally know that homosexuals are most likely to get aids! Eureka!
D”UH
$56 billion by Congress alone this year.
Two other points: If gays are getting AIDs, it's Bush’s fault;
If gays are getting AIDs, Obama will make sure they can still have their sex and not get sick. But they'll have to wait until he pays everyone’s mortgage off and puts gas in everyone’s car. Then he'll be tackling the AIDs problem.
Paging Captain Obvious...please pick up the pink courtesy phone....
In writing "more than half", the author of the article is being intentionally vague in an attempt to have readers beleive that it's just more than half. ...and that the other 40%+ are heteros.
And in other amazing news:
Report: Women still bear the brunt of childbirth...
Ahhh, one of them there right wing religious nuts.
Just like me.
Don’t do the grunting, you won’t bear the brunting...
NEWS FLASH: Motorcycle riders bear the brunt of most motorcycle injuries.
ANOTHER NEWS FLASH: Female cats give birth to a large majority of kittens!
It’s been more than 20 years since Ronald Reagan invented AIDS (that was sarcasm—no correction necessary) and we’ve known the cause for most of that time. How dumb do you have to be to keep doing the same dangerous acts and expecting it to be consequence-free?
You want to really talk about a waste of healtcare resources? All the time, money and medicine given to gay HIV and AIDS people who a) do their damndest to catch it, b) do not stop the destructive behaviors where they acquire it and c) all the stupid sponsored studies that are surprised to find out the thing we all know - that it affects gays because of their incredibly promiscuous lifestyle. We are funding a self-destructive lifestyle with billions of dollars that could be saved for other things. But no, we pat the gays on the back, tell them they’re just SUPER the way they are, and extend their lives with the most expensive drugs out there at great expense to the rest of us, the 98-99% of society. We are subsidizing the homosexual lifestyle. Out-frickin-rageous.
They need to leave their friends behinds!
There's one of the two principal promises of liberalism:
1.) We'll take away the natural consequences of your own actions so that they won't cramp your style.
2.) We can give you everything your little heart desires at no cost to anyone. Well, there's the rich, but they don't count. Their resources are unlimited!
Calling Captain Obvious.
Why wouldn’t they? They bear the brunt of a penis in a butthole.
And Francisco Franco is still dead!
I’m in San Francisco, and I’m in research. Often you can find job listings for people who want to research the meth/AIDS connection, meth/Hep connection, and many others.
Well, those guys get 2gether in the Castro, SOMA, or Mission Districts, smoke meth, and stay up for 3 days (or more) humping every dude who goes in there, OK?
Sometimes it’s called a RUSSIAN ROULETTE PARTY (in which case you don’t wear condoms and someone KNOWN to have AIDS is at that party).
Do that enough times and I don’t care if you have a PhD in epidemiology, YOU ARE GOING TO CATCH A DISEASE.
Nasty parting shot —cholera is going around in the city, and that’s cuz they also EAT EACH OTHER’S BUTTS OUT.
