“The solution, analysts say, is to get Pakistan’s civilian leadership to exert control over its hard-line military and intelligence which functions on its own existential agenda.”

Easier said than done.

It sounded totally ignorant at the time, but maybe Hussein was right. We might have to invade parts of Pakistan where the Taliban are. Not to occupy, only destroy and leave. If Pakistan completely stops it’s efforts in the area, I see little other choice.

There is going to be a big war in Asia. It will encompass India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, the Gulf States, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and possibly, Somolia. The longer it takes to start, the better the chances that it will go nuclear. It will be horrific, millions may die, but it will be a chance to settle things down in that area for some time.

That’s NO THREAT, if you’re ready for action. If Pakistani troups leave the area where Al Quaida is, US troups move in!

As afghanistan is landlocked,...supplies for our Afghanistan troops could be a problem.

telling Washington that it will have to withdraw some 100,000 Pakistani troops posted on its western borders to fight the al-Qaida-Taliban and move them east to the Indian front if New Delhi makes any aggressive moves.

I have great sympathy with the grief of the Indian people -- and others who have lost loved ones in Mumbai -- but this is hardly "blackmail." It is reality.
