Even though he promises to throw 2 billion into NASA, manned flight bight be on the line here. Once the space shuttle goes - how do we put men into space, right now on the back of Russian hardware?

The guy is not even president-elect yet. He won’t be until the electoral college meets.

I saw this coming a long time ago. The ‘Rats don’t give a damn about NASA except for manipulating the agency into supporting their “climate change” lies.

I have a better idea.

Close the Department of Education.

That would save lots of money.

With the numbers socialist Bush & his Dem cohorts are tossing around today to keep their rich wall street buddies happy - 100s of billions - and 10s of billions to payoff their union cronies at the UAW, sure is nice to know we can’t carve out a relatively measely 2 billion to try and keep up with the rest of the world in high technology space exploration. Much better to piss the money down entitlement & irresponsible bailout rat holes that net ZERO value in the long term. Glad this Marxist buffoon has his priorities straight.

Here we are throwing 700 to 800 billion dollars at a pop at bad business and he wants to further convert NASA into nothing more than a satellite launching global warming support group?

If I had to chose, I'd rather support NASA and USA manned space flight (not international except allies) rather than GM, Ford, Chrysler, and the UAW.

Cutting funding for something is not the same thing as banning it.

OMG. They’re asking about Triana. I thought we put a stake in the heart of that idiotic Algore proposal ten years ago.

Lets hope the Smithsonian guy is right....

John Logsdon, a space policy expert at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, cautioned against reading too much into the transition team’s questions.

“After all, these are the questions that everyone is asking, and the transition team certainly must get NASA’s best answers to them,” Logsdon said, adding that the questionnaire “is unlikely to reflect the totality” of the transition team’s investigation of current programs and alternatives.

“That is likely to take some weeks and involve lots of questions to lots of people. So I would not overinterpret and come to any conclusion regarding what direction the team may be headed — after all, there is still almost two months left in the transition.”

Oh I knew Triani would fly if Obama won.
They want to make Al Gore weep with joy at it’s launch.

I hope it goes off course and hits a dolphin.

It was Nixon who didn't like NASA.

I'm glad he's getting a head start cleaning up the big Republican mess.

Nixon was right. NASA and all of our space ventures are a waste of money. What are we really achieving up there?!
