I am sorry but anecdotal testimony from an old woman and a completely unrelated diplomat are not exactly hard evidence. Hard evidence would be a Kenyan birth certificate, or a hospital record from Kenya, or evidence of air travel by Obama’s mom prior to birth.
The whole thing just doesn’t make sense. A very pregnant woman with little financial resources travels to a third world country to give birth (huh?), and travels back to Hawaii in order to lie that her son was born in the states, even going so far as planting a fake birth announcement in the paper. WHY? There is no advantage whatsoever to being a natural born citizen if you don’t plan to be POTUS. Why would Obama lie about being born in Hawaii his whole life, even years before he could dream of being POTUS? Non of this makes any sense.

She traveled there because the guy who married her couldn’t get married to her in the United States, or he would be convicted of bigamy. But, it was okay in Kenya, and a sign of doing well, too (apparently) if you had several wives. So, the guy was happy about it for the status he gained (in Kenya, where his other wife and family was), and the mother was happy because she got an “official father” for the child, instead of being a bastard child. I don’t believe it was his child, but that the marriage was one of convenience for both parties.
What “caught” her was the fact that she didn’t realize, at the time, that the airlines would refuse her the flight back, in that condition.

Like I said — it wasn’t related to him becoming President. That wasn’t the issue. The issue was that with Obama being born in Kenya and with her being of an age that she *could not* establish Obama as a citizen (at all), this was the only way she could get him to be a U.S. citizen... (nothing to do with being President...).
It’s like I said, she wanted to give him the benefit of being an American citizen, and as it stood, with her trapped in Kenya and having to give birth there, that took away her ability to establish Obama as a citizen (totally). So, this maneuver was necessary for her to establish that bare minimum (that she wanted for Obama)...
It all makes sense in very human and normal terms...
