You know what I find odd? I was doing some research today, and I stumbled across an old article about the French GiGN counter terrorist unit that stormed a hijacked Air France plane back in December of 1994. What stood out in my mind was that the terrorist had a plan to slam the airplane into the Eiffel tower and kill as many western tourist as possible. You would think our intelligence services and agencies would have gotten the clue then? We are so slow to react to our enemies changing tactics, techniques, and procedures. It will be a while until America realizes again, just how easy it is for a few terrorist to cause mayhem and massacre in any major western city. Our own demise is that our people really don’t care unless they are looking good, and getting the best deals at the mall. It’s only a matter of time until Mumbai happens in our own country. Any potential terrorist could sneak into our ports, or across our borders with a few lousy AK’s and home made bombs and cause a real mess. President Bush has done a good job at taking the fight to the enemy, but I don’t think it has been enough.
