I am very outraged by Islamic extremism and am aware of some Koran versus in which Christians and Jews are considered infidels. I am far from naive on this subject. However, on a day-to-day basis, the muslims I have met are not violent people, period. There is a world-wide problem with Islamic extremism. The movement calls for terrorism which has dominated western security concerns. However, I have no reason to walk into a mosque and slander their religion.
When I have a conversation with the muslims I know, as I would with any other perosn, I do not find them threatening. And some are very aware of my strong Christian faith.
Yes, there are Muslims in this world whose goals are to cause destruction to western culture and people. But, not all of them are this way. And generalizing is not fair to those peaceful people.
I agree though that I wish CAIR and Muslim dominated countries would stand up and denounce these actions on a regular basis.
